Frequently asked questions
Everything importers ask us before their first shipment from China or Vietnam: costs, payment, quality, packing and shipping.
Getting started
What does a sourcing agent in China do?
A sourcing agent finds and checks factories, negotiates prices in Chinese, follows production, inspects quality in person before shipment, supervises packing, and coordinates shipping and export documents. VG Sourcing does all of this on the ground in China and Vietnam for importers in the MENA region.
How do I start working with VG Sourcing?
Send us your product, quantity, target price and destination through the contact form or WhatsApp +84 363 834 125. We reply with supplier options and pricing, usually within 24 hours.
Do you speak Arabic?
Yes. Our founder is Moroccan and works in Arabic, French and English with clients and in Chinese with factories.
Do I need to travel to China?
No. We visit the factories for you and send photos, video and written reports. Many clients never travel and still buy factory-direct.
Is there a minimum order?
We don't set a minimum. Factories set their own MOQs, which depend on the product. We help you find suppliers that fit your quantity, including mixed or smaller orders.
Costs & payment
How much does your sourcing service cost?
It depends on the service and the size of the order: a full sourcing project, a single inspection, or packing and shipping coordination. We agree the fee upfront and you see the factory price. Contact us for a quote for your project.
How should I pay the factory?
The usual structure is a 30% deposit and a 70% balance. We recommend paying the balance only after our pre-shipment inspection passes. Be careful with any factory that asks for 100% upfront on a first order.
Do you add a margin to the factory price?
No hidden margin. You see the factory's quote and our service fee separately.
Quality control & packing
How do you guarantee product quality?
Every order includes factory verification, sample approval before production, in-line checks during production and a pre-shipment inspection with a photo and video report. The goods ship only after they pass.
What is a pre-shipment inspection?
A check of the finished goods at the factory before shipping and before you pay the balance. We check quantity, workmanship, measurements, color, function, packing and labels using AQL sampling. Read more on our pre-shipment inspection page.
Can I watch the inspection live?
Yes. We can do live video inspections so you can see your goods in real time.
Do you handle packing and Arabic labeling?
Yes. We set and check export packing: carton strength, drop tests, moisture protection, pallets, shipping marks, barcodes, Arabic labels and private-label packaging, and we supervise container loading. See export packing.
What happens if the goods fail inspection?
We report the defects with photos, the factory reworks or replaces them, and we re-inspect. You keep the balance until the goods meet the approved sample.
Shipping & countries
Which countries do you ship to?
Across the GCC (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman), North Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan) and the Levant (Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen).
How long does shipping from China to Saudi Arabia or Dubai take?
Sea freight to Jeddah, Dammam or Jebel Ali typically takes around 18–30 days port to port. Air freight takes a few days. Read our shipping guide.
Can you combine goods from several suppliers?
Yes. We consolidate goods from several factories into one LCL or FCL shipment to reduce cost.
Do you prepare export documents?
Yes. We coordinate the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or airway bill and certificate of origin, and help with SASO/SABER for regulated products in Saudi Arabia.
