VG Sourcing was founded by Ouail Tibari, a Moroccan sourcing specialist who has lived in Asia for more than six years. It started with a simple observation: importers in the Gulf, North Africa and the Levant were buying from China and Vietnam blind, through online profiles, translated chats and proforma invoices, and often paying the price when the goods arrived.
So I moved my work onto the factory floor. Today I visit suppliers in person, negotiate in Chinese, check production with my own eyes and report back to clients in Arabic, French or English. Clients get factory-direct prices and a person in Asia who works only for them.
