Quality control

Pre-shipment inspection: don't pay the balance before you see your goods

Paying the final balance is the riskiest moment in importing. We visit the factory in person before shipment, check quantity, quality and packaging, and send you a full photo and video report, so you know what you approved is what will arrive.

Live pre-shipment quality control inspection

What the inspection covers

  • Conformity: production matched to your approved sample, including measurements, materials, colors and finish
  • Quantity: carton counts and units per carton
  • Workmanship: visual defects classified as critical, major or minor
  • Function & safety tests relevant to the product
  • Packing & labeling: carton strength, marks, barcodes, Arabic labels
  • Live photos and video from the production line and loading area
  • A written report in Arabic or English before you pay the balance

AQL sampling explained

We use the international AQL standard (ISO 2859-1) to choose how many units to check and how many defects are acceptable. A common level for consumer goods is General Inspection Level II with AQL 2.5 for major defects and 4.0 for minor defects, with zero tolerance for critical defects. We agree the levels with you before the inspection.

Why this one step saves importers thousands

Most import losses happen the same way. The buyer pays the balance against a proforma invoice, the container arrives, and the goods don't match the sample. At that point there is no leverage left, because the factory has been paid in full.

A pre-shipment inspection flips the leverage. You hold the balance until the goods pass. Factories know this, which is why production quality improves as soon as they hear an inspection is booked.

When you need this service

  • First order with a new supplier
  • Large-volume or high-value orders
  • After a bad experience where goods didn't match the sample
